Hanna Llewellyn-Waters, leading junior, successfully prosecuted two cousins at Wood Green Crown Court for an attack at Deptford rail station which left a man in a coma. The defendants were found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent. They have been jailed for a total of 17 years

Alun Jones QC and Amanda Jones represented the successful Claimants in the case of R (on the application of Bhatti & others) v Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police. The Divisional Court held that the entries into, and searches of, the Claimants' premises were unlawful by reason of a breach of s.16(5)(c) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984. All items seized were to be returned to the Claimants forthwith. The matter has been adjourned to a single judge in the Queen's Bench Division for assessment of damages.

Rebecca Hill appears before the Administrative Court in Lendvai v Veszprem County Court in which the application of Articles 3, 6 and 8 of the ECHR were considered. Miss Hill, on behalf of the Judicial Authority argued that extradition was compatible with the Appellant's convention rights. The appeal was dismissed and extradition ordered.

Hanna Llewellyn-Waters, leading junior, successfully prosecuted six defendants at Isleworth Crown Court. The defendants were charged with conspiracy to commit criminal damage.
The police operation leading to the identification and arrest of the defendants was the largest conspiracy to commit criminal damage on the rail networks over the South East of England.
At least 160 incidents were attributed to the defendants. The available damage costs figure stood at £267 000, although the total figure of loss was much higher.
